What to See at London Design Fair 2017
London Design Fair > London Fashion Week
London Fashion Week might be over but for design lovers, the party is only just getting started. Tomorrow marks the start of – a four day event which brings together exhibitions and showcases from a curated array of independent studios and global brands. Think artisan crafts, inspiring furniture design and insightful talks covering everything from Southern Swedish design to the art of upcycling. Best of all, the fair will also be the setting for a range of new product launches. Read on to find out the one’s we’re most excited about.
John Eadon
If you’re a fan of that minimalist aesthetic then you’re going to love John Eadon’s debut MIMA collection.

Inspired by the spindle-backed Windsor chair, this handmade collection is both handsome and versatile. I can see this collection working well in a Scandinavian-inspired home, paired with white walls and cozy candles. Alternatively, style with lots of plants and foliage for a bohemian-chic vibe.
Malwina Konopacka
In this collection of vases by Warsaw-based Malwina Konopacka, bold graphic patterns stand as a striking counterfoil to the elegant and fragile ceramic vase form.

Malwina’s vases are all handmade and hand painted, making each one unique. Notice the recessed depressions on the vase’s surface. They’re a distinguishing characteristic of the collection, adding depth and texture to the design.
Frame & Cover
Sustainable home furnishing brand, , has made quite the splash since their launch just last year. Known for their bespoke upholstery and range of elegant prints, their showcase is guaranteed to be packed to the brim with pretty accessories for your home.

This year at the London Design Fair, Frame & Cover will be debuting their brand new Riviera range. Inspired by undulating rivers and glistening oceans, the collection is a visual reminder of the beauty of nature. What’s more, the fabrics are made from recycled cotton and polyester, making them eco-friendly to boot.
Ladies & Gentlemen Studio
With a design aesthetic that rests on an unexpected balance of warm minimalism, playful austerity and simple sophistication, US-based L&G Studio fulfills all my millennial interior design dreams, and then some.

Past hero pieces from the design studio include a and a series of intricate . For the London Design Fair, the duo will showcase FLOAT, a new illuminated minimalist sculpture series. I can’t wait to see how L&G re imagine this form of art for the millennial home.
Isabel Quiroga
What I love about furniture pieces is that they are both quirky and functional – a combination much desired, though surprisingly hard to come by in the world of product design.

Take this Tree Table for example, which will be on show tomorrow. Billed as a ‘table for all occasions’, it’s made of three pipes of steel which carry three tabletops of different sizes and materials. Each table comes with a selection of notches and holes that the user can alternately use as a holder for stationery, card, pictures or a vase. Also look out for the multi-tasking ‘Back-to-Basic Lamp’ and the ‘Cutting-Edge’ candle holder for more functional yet chic design.
